We have some exciting news to announce!: We finally have a space in Manhattan (yup, the photo above is a pic of us in front of the construction project aka “new store”). And it is going to be a Baked. A really fun/cool Baked with the DNA of our Red Hook store, plus a few fancy (maybe) new accoutrements.

We don’t have a lot of details just yet. We know it is in Tribeca. We know that at one time our space used to house a notorious strip club (this is, of course, balanced out by the fact that our Brooklyn space was formerly a church). And we know that we are aiming to open sometime in the first half of 2014 barring any unforeseen problems. If you know our story (captured for TV here), you know that we had a lot of unforeseen problems with our Red Hook space.

Anyway, we just wanted to share the news with you. We are thrilled. Opening a new space anywhere is exhilarating and terrifying, but opening a new space in Manhattan is purely bananas. It requires an insane amount of patience and a truckload of Xanax. More details to come. Wish us well. We can’t wait to serve you.

Unfortunately, none of them worked out (note to everyone looking for a space in Manhattan: the market is nuts and you have to move quick).
