12 Days of Cookies - Day Eight

It’s all about molasses for Day Eight!

Katie’s cookie for the eighth day of our 12 Days of Cookies is a simple yet delicious molasses cookie. It’s a multi-generation recipe – passed down from her mother’s side of the family. Its also a holiday staple. Her aunt – an avid holiday cookie box sender – always includes a few molasses cookies in each assortment. But most importantly, it’s one of Katie’s favorites.

Baked will be serving Katie’s Molasses Cookies all day until we run out. And if you need cookie inspiration or recipes, take a gander over here.

Per Katie, “For every pastry chef, from aspiring to professional, I would highly recommend owning a copy of The Pastry Chef’s Companion. Not only does this book have almost 5,000 terms and definitions dealing with baking and pastry, but it also offers measurement conversions, flavor guides, temperature guides, and a section of ‘what went wrong and why’.”
